Don't buy it!

I encourage everyone to check out for themselves the cases made for the order of events associated with the Lord's return. I have done that for all the major perspectives and found the pretrib rapture doctrine to be the most literal interpretation of Scripture.

The Lord wants a personal relationship with us and gave us the Bible so that we may know His Word. Thus the average person must be able to know what God has said to us without having to consult some scholarly intermediary to tell us what God really said. That is why the most literal interpretation of Scripture is the best interpretation.

The book of Revelation is not hard to understand, it is hard for many to believe… so people think it has to be interpreted. Yes, the Bible does use symbolic language but those passages are obviously symbolic and it does not mean that all prophecy is symbolic. The prophecies of the first advent of Christ were literally fulfilled; this should tell us to expect the prophecies of His return to be literally fulfilled as well.

Next to my being born again, the greatest blessing the Lord gave me was helping me see that I can take God’s Word literally. This realization has made the Bible exciting to me and has helped me grow closer to the Lord than anything else in the world.

Blessings,
ScottScott Huckabyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00611309187058123083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5672688800706045988.post-7301614854716428472009-05-07T23:54:00.000-05:002009-05-07T23:54:00.000-05:00May I have your reaction to a web article?
